I’m Caitlin Dube- a lifelong educator, CPS parent, and proven leader- and I’m running for School Committee because I know that we can create the best public school system in the world, right here in Cambridge.

As the only candidate in the race who does this for a living, I know how to bring educational excellence, transformative ideas, and community care together to create the best public school system in the world.

I’m a teacher, a leader, and a collaborator with vision and expertise, and I care deeply about our community. This is our moment to lead the way.

Here’s what I believe in:

Learning That Comes Alive: Create innovative spaces and experiences that foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration—preparing students not just for tests, but for lives of purpose and impact.

Educators Who Thrive: Invest in educators by providing the support necessary to attract and retain the world's most passionate teachers.

Family and Community Partnership: Engage families as co-creators of strong schools and thriving communities.

Brave, Accountable Leadership: Ensure transparent decision-making, clear communication, and responsive governance that puts students and families first.

Believe in what’s possible

Critical Thinking. Courage. Collaboration…and Care.

The foundation of joyful, just, and excellent public education—and the path to the best schools in the world.

“I’m running for School Committee because I believe in a Cambridge where our schools reflect the brilliance of our children and our community, where excellence and equity go hand in hand, and where our students and teachers feel challenged and cherished as stewards of our democracy. I know this is possible because it’s what I do for a living, and I’m thrilled to bring my expertise as an educational leader and teacher to build a school system that matches our shared vision for the future.”

Meet Caitlin

Teacher. Listener. Leader. Strategist.

As an expert educator, mom, and deeply engaged Cambridge community member, education isn't just my passion—it's my daily work and life's calling.

I’m Caitlin Dube — a professional educator, strategist, community advocate, and proud Cambridge parent. I’m running for School Committee to help build the best school district in the world, where every student has the opportunity to flourish, no matter what.

Not only was I a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and an administrator, I now build schools and advise districts on how to make real advances in education.

A graduate of Harvard Graduate School of Education, Columbia University, and Harvard College, I’m a nationally recognized innovative school designer, strategic educational consultant, and transformative education expert. My life’s work is turning bold ideas into real change — from creating STEAM schools in Lynn, project-based learning schools in Boston, to developing cutting-edge curriculum and designing social‑emotional frameworks right here in Cambridge (and all over the world).

I’ve led cross‑sector initiatives, built equity‑focused leadership programs, and partnered with school districts and nonprofits to strengthen systems, improve outcomes, and expand opportunities for students and educators.

I’ve worked with:

  • Cambridge Public Schools

  • Lynn Public Schools

  • Boston Public Schools

  • Brookline Public Schools

  • The National Medal of Honor Foundation…and many more to bring excellence and equity to life in classrooms and communities.

You may also know me as Ramona’s mom, and seen me cheering on the soccer and softball sidelines, but in Cambridge, I also:

  • Co‑Chair the Baldwin School Council

  • Serve as Commissioner on the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women and Girls

  • Founded the no-cost Gamechangers and Changemakers programs for Cambridge youth, in partnership with the Cambridge YWCA, Maud Morgan Arts, and Transition House.

Educator. Leader. Future Builder.

I bring over two decades of experience at the intersection of education, innovation, and public leadership—and I’ve been proudly serving Cambridge for years.

Right here in our district, I've already been working hand-in-hand with Cambridge Public Schools to develop innovative curriculum for real-world learning, design transformative professional learning experiences that empower our educators, and create peer leadership programs that give our high school athletes and leaders the tools to champion Title IX and build inclusive school communities.

This isn't theoretical work for me — it's the foundation I'm building on as your next School Committee member. I’ve spent my career collaborating and leading with amazing partners to implement the best educational experiences imaginable, and I know Cambridge can be a model for joyful, just, and excellent schools everywhere.

I’m excited to bring my expertise to the School Committee- and I’d be honored to earn your #1 vote.

Making the Extraordinary Possible:

What I Believe In

System-Level Excellence and Shared Vision, Deeper Learning, and Equal Access and Opportunity for All

Cambridge has something special—engaged families, dedicated educators, world-class resources, and a community that believes in the power of great schools.

Cambridge can be a place where all children are able to flourish, now and into the future, and Cambridge schools can get them there.

This is our moment to lead the way in public education. As the only cadidate who does this work for a living, I bring an experienced approach to this work, not simply expertise. I know that collaboration, trust, and critical thinking about systems-level efficiency, high standards for educational excellence, and real equity in education happen when educators, leaders, students, families and community members are united under a shared vision. I am running for School Committee to bring that vision to life.

I’m running to help build a School Committee that:

  • Creates a shared vision for what's possible — refusing to let the status quo or perceived impossibilities keep us from imagining the best possible schools for our kids. And, I know how to help lead this work because it’s what I do for a living.

  • Thinks critically and strategically about how we deploy our resources by asking, "If I were to design this from scratch, how would I best create a school system?" — then allocating time, talent, and funding to match that vision

  • Holds leadership accountable and builds partnership for excellence, equity, and meaningful evaluation — establishing clear benchmarks and ensuring every school delivers the best possible learning experiences for children

  • Centers human and civic flourishing by asking "What do our teachers and students need to thrive?" before making decisions, and then designing systems that prioritize wellbeing as the foundation for learning

  • Closes achievement gaps in Cambridge and beyond by identifying and dismantling barriers to learning, belonging, and democratic participation — addressing root causes, not just symptoms

  • Develops policies that support meaningful evaluation and growth for all members of our school community and creates a culture of continuous learning, grounded in data and shared best-practices. Everyone benefits when learning is shared, modeled, and encouraged. This is an evidenced-based way to move the needle on closing the achievement gap, and it’s time to get moving!

  • Leverages the untapped opportunity and power in our early childhood and Universal Pre-K system to build strong foundations — creating literacy-rich, play-centered, and relationship-driven classrooms that honor the whole child, support multilingual learners, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning for students and partnerships for families.

  • Practices deep listening and proactive communication by regularly engaging with families, students, and educators to understand their lived experiences, then acts on what they learn to implement gold-standard family engagement

We don't have to accept what is.

We have everything we need to create what should be.
